Bio :Steven started the company in 2011 and coordinates and leads all activities within the REX companies (REX Construction Services, REX Engineering Group, and REX Technology Solutions). He provides a focused business approach and a deep commitment to quality, innovation, and leadership. He has profound understanding of the financial, management, and process methodologies for firm and project success.Throughout his career, Steven has gained experience in all major trades of the construction process. This combination of passion and experience has enabled Steven to make informed business decisions that achieve business health and growth, while also prioritizing a focus on maintaining satisfied clients and engaged employees.Steven is a structural engineer and is licensed in over 25 states. He has experience working with all structural materials and building types and has performed a wide range of engineering services – new building design and renovations, connection engineering, peer reviews, and structural condition assessments.Before founding REX, Steven worked as a Structural Engineer where he managed approximately 75% of all connection and miscellaneous steel design projects for the firm. He was also the project engineer for many full building structural design projects and worked on over 650 different building projects.Steven graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering, and is a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). He is a Licensed Structural Engineer (S.E.) and a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).Besides his professional life, Steven loves spending time with his family and is an outdoor enthusiast. He enjoys hiking, surfing, and boating.
