Bio :At REX, Chris leads our engineering team’s work on structural steel connection design, fall protection design, lifting device design, temporary construction support design, building stability analysis during erection, and design of stability bracing during building erection.Chris’ experience before joining the REX Engineering team was heavily focused on the structural steel industry, working with structural steel fabricators and erectors. He enjoys working on structural steel connection design, building stability analysis and design of temporary bracing during erection, engineered heavy crane lifts, lifting device design, renovation of heavy industrial structural steel buildings, field fixes for damaged or deteriorated structural steel structures, and temporary construction support design projects.He has over 14 years of varied experience in structural engineering, working on commercial, industrial, public bridge, healthcare, government, and other project types. Chris has been involved in all stages of a structural steel project, from conceptual design, contract document preparation, fabrication services, to installation services.Chris earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Lawrence Technological University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in 18 US states and 3 Canadian provinces, and a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).Besides his professional life, Chris is active within the community and is a coach for his kids’ sports team and he volunteers as a judge at AISC/ASCE College Student Bridge Competition for the past 15 years.
