Global Experts Join the REX Structural Team!
We’ve added two noteworthy additions to our structural team, each with extensive research and work seen across the globe from Fargo to Dubai.
They join a team of structural engineers with a decade of experience working on a variety of building types, budgets, and heights.
Here you can get to know Jim & Arek as well as their work better.
Principal, Director of Engineering
Jim is a licensed structural engineer with a master’s degree in architecture and recently named a fellow at the University of Illinois School of Architecture.
His A/E background and decades of experience engineering complex and super tall structures at SOM gives architects the ability to make their designs a reality.
Arek Mazurek, PhD, SE, PE
Senior Structural Engineer
Arek holds a PhD in structural engineering and excels at researching and implementing new approaches to optimize structures for constructability.
His extensive design knowledge and 15 years of experience at SOM, give Arek a unique ability to develop structures with minimal materials while maximizing both the structural and architectural performance.
Regardless the size of the project, we try to find beauty in design and develop simple, elegant solutions to complex challenges.
