About the Scope of Work

The new building consists of a two-story classroom wing, an auditorium with a 40’ fly tower, two gymnasiums, locker rooms, band room and administrative offices. The roof structure is comprised of metal deck on bar joists supported on steel beams and columns and had many different heights requiring a high attention to detailing. The floor structure is comprised of a composite concrete slab system with steel beams supported on steel columns. The lateral load resisting system utilizes masonry shear walls and structural steel wind frames. The foundation system utilized spread and continuous wall footings.
