Structural Engineering
REX Engineering Group is seeking a self-motivated, client focused, MEP Drafter/BIM Modeler to join our MEP Engineering team in our Los Angeles office. Candidate shall have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field, and shall have proficiency in MEP drafting software – Revit MEP and AutoCAD.
Candidate will work within a team of engineers. They should be able to work independently on projects, work with other disciplines to coordinate/manage projects effectively, and manage the production and delivery of design documents and models.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, strong organizational and decision-making skills are required. Ability to work on multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment is key. Participation in internal office collaboration and the external professional community is encouraged.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for MEP drawing production
- Set up BIM models and drawings for MEP building projects
- Perform model and drawing mark-ups from engineers
- Coordinate with architectural and project team regarding syncing models and backgrounds
- Assist in developing and implementing drawing standards and workflows
- Provide assistance / train engineers in performing drawing and model work
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in drafting / modeling MEP drawings
- Associates degree or certification in drafting or related fields
- Proficient in Revit Structure and AutoCAD
- Excellent organization, delegation, and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
